The safety and well-being of our guests and staff are always our top priorities. Palmaïa – The House of AïA understands that severe weather events may cause our guests to reconsider their travel plans.
Palmaïa – The House of AïA’s Hurricane Policy for guests currently at the hotel or those scheduled to arrive consists of the following:
This policy will be in effect once the corresponding authorities have issued an official warning for the destination. This policy will always be subject to the confirmation of the hotel per event.
IN-HOUSE GUESTS DEPARTING EARLY
Guests who choose to depart early from the hotel will receive a certificate for unused nights, with prior check-out notification to the hotel.
GUESTS SCHEDULED BUT UNABLE TO DEPART
Guests who are unable to depart due to airport closures will be offered distressed rates to be defined and to be paid directly at the hotel.
GUESTS MOVED TO A SHELTER
In case it becomes necessary to transfer guests to a temporary shelter, the hotel will cover the corresponding expenses for such transfer.
GUESTS SCHEDULED BUT UNABLE TO ARRIVE
Guests who are unable to arrive due to cancellation of flights or airport closure but are able to arrive on a later date can choose from the following options:
  1. Arrive on the first available flights after the storm and take the same number of nights confirmed at the same rate (based on room availability) or stay until their original departure dates.

  2. ‌Cancel without penalty, with prior confirmation from the hotel.
GUESTS WHO DECIDE TO RESCHEDULE THEIR STAY
The hotel will honor the current rates within the same calendar year based on availability. Holiday blackouts will apply.

Terms & Conditions
  1. The policy will come into effect once the National Weather Service issues an Official Hurricane Warning for the area or the hurricane directly impacts Palmaïa – The House of AïA or the surrounding areas.

  2. The policy applies only to reservations arriving or staying during the event and up to 2 days after the hurricane impacts.

  3. Excludes the day of departure. Air transportation and transfers are not included.

  4. Reservations made through Tour Operators or third-party websites must contact their original booking source for information on the hurricane policy for their reservation.

  5. Special stay extension rates for flight delays and/or cancellations, or airport closures resulting from the hurricane apply for a period of up to 2 days.
